Hey everyone, this is a very off-topic thread for this site, but I don't know other forums so hopefully someone can help me out.

I'm trying to get certain songs for a soundtrack video, but the problem is that they're region exclusive. But not only can I not buy them, I can't find pirated versions either.

I'm hoping someone here is able to help me out and buy them for me to get around the region exclusivity. (I'd pay you back, probably with a bit more than necessary.) Here's a list of the songs I'm hoping to get:

Kram - Good Love (Australia only) @iTunes

Glamour Of the Kill - A Hope In Hell (idk if it's even possible to get this at all)

The Automatic - Steve McQueen (UK only) @iTunes @Amazon

Tommy Sparks - I'm A Rope (UK only) @iTunes (just the first one, not the remixes) @Amazon

Deichkind - Ich Betäube Mich (GER only) @Amazon

Kram - Good Love is on youtube, you can download and convert to mp4. I have Android phone and use Tubemate, very easy to use, available at google play but best to get it from tpb as it is adfree.

If I wanted to use youtube rips, I would've done it by ripping the aac/vorbis track from the stream with FFmpeg, not with one of the many online sites that do lossy to lossy transcodes.

@oleg Thanks, that seems to have a proper 320kbps version of Kram - Good Love. Still looking for the others though.

Edit: @gram117 Yes, they're from DiRT 2.

Does this Help? I know that from Need for Speed 2015

Sites that converts youtube videos to mp3 uses lossy conversion which decreases he quality of the song

Edit: nick, can't you just use a desktop recorder to record the video and save it as mp3 with a program like audacity?

You're pretty close. MP3 itself is a lossy codec, and when you convert lossy to lossy, be it 128 to 128 or 128 to 320, you will always get artifacting in the transcode. You could record as uncompressed, but that would result in a much larger file than you'd get from ripping the audio stream, which has the exact same quality.

After a bit of searching I came across a Firefox plugin called Complete YouTube Saver which does exactly what I've been doing, just way more easily. So I'll probably start using that instead of straight-up FFmpeg.

Edit: (hit post before I was done, sorry) But no matter what you do, it's still YouTube, which is not as high-quality as a purchased file. Plus we've got no idea what the input file's quality was, nor the quality of the audio it got transcoded to for the video. And if it's old enough, it'll have been transcoded (possibly multiple times) by YouTube when it changes its video quality/formats.

Edit 2: The video DaViper linked is blocked in the US, lol...

No point, soundcloud is 128kbps mp3, slightly lower quality than youtube.

Figured I'd give an update on how the search went.

Yeah, good thing eBay is international. They were pretty cheap, probably because nobody knows or cares about these albums.

Again thanks to the site oleg linked, I managed to find the radio version of UNKLE - Restless (which doesn't seem to exist at any legit sites) and the good version of Templeton Pek - Red Lights Flash (which is only sold in the UK).

I just finished the audio portion of the Dirt 2 soundtrack, which was as much of a pain in the ass as any soundtrack, if not more so. Video will be up within the next few days.

Nah, the radio edit I found was 3:45, wasn't listed as a radio edit either but it matched the version in dirt's files.
